The CP3915-1019-0000 is a Panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. This 15-inch operator terminal combines an industrial touchscreen, embedded computer hardware, and a sealed housing to act as a human-machine interface on factory floors and process lines. By integrating processing, display, and field cabling in one enclosure, the unit eliminates the need for separate operator stations and supports real-time control tasks in distributed automation architectures. Its front panel is designed for mounting on control cabinets, bringing computing power directly to machinery.
On the visual side, the panel offers a 4:3 aspect ratio on a 1024 x 768 pixel LCD that measures 15 in diagonally, providing adequate density for SCADA graphics and parameter pages. Multi-touch commands are accepted through its Multi-Finger PCT glass, allowing gesture control even when operators are wearing gloves. Video is carried over Beckhoff’s DVI Extended link, and peripheral devices connect through USB Extended. Internal electronics are powered from a 24 VDC supply that arrives through a keyed 4-pin M12 connector, reducing wiring errors. The aluminum enclosure is rated IP65, so dust and water jets cannot reach the electronics during washdown or cutting-fluid exposure.
For remote installations, the display and I/O signals can be routed up to 50 m away from the host PC without signal degradation, matching the maximum cable length allowed by the system. Mechanical integrity is verified for shock levels of 5 G lasting 30 ms, and vibration tolerance reaches 0.035 mm between 10 Hz and 58 Hz plus 0.5 G from 58 Hz to 500 Hz. Air gaps and conformal coatings allow operation in ambient humidity up to 95 percent without condensation inside the unit.
