Product Description:
The CP3912-0010 is a panel-mount industrial PC unit in the CP Panel PC Systems series manufactured by Beckhoff. It provides operator interface and control visualization at the machine level while allowing the computing hardware to be installed remotely through the CP-Link 4 transmission system. This separation protects electronics from harsh environments, lets the aluminum front housing work purely as a sealed HMI, and simplifies cabinet layouts in automated production lines.
The unit is supplied from a 24 VDC source and the front panel has an IP65 protection class, so the touchscreen and connectors remain dust-tight and resistant to water jets. System signals are carried to the host computer through an 8-pin M12 CP-Link connector, while operating power is delivered by a separate 4-pin M12 plug. The display, USB, and DVI video link can be extended up to 100 m between the panel and the PC without signal boosters. Four M6 mounting threads secure the assembly to arm or cabinet brackets, and the housing is milled from aluminum for low weight and electromagnetic shielding. Internal wiring accepts conductors up to 4 × 0.75 mm², matching typical control-cabinet power harnesses. The multi-finger touch surface uses projected-capacitive sensing for gesture input and is protected by a rigid front glass. The connection block, including plugs, weighs 3.4 kg.
The operating environment allows up to 95% relative humidity, and the structure withstands shocks of 5 G during transport or incidental impacts. When powered, inrush and continuous current must stay within the connector’s 16 A rating to avoid overheating. The CP-Link channel forwards USB traffic at 100 Mbit/s, so cameras or memory devices at the panel can communicate with the host computer without additional extenders. DVI video is carried on the same link, allowing display output and touch operation to remain coordinated at the panel.
