The CP3724-0020 is an industrial control panel PC built by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for direct mounting on machinery, it integrates a complete PC platform with an operator touchscreen so that motion sequences, process variables, and diagnostic data can be viewed and adjusted in real time. The product allows operators to consolidate visualization, data logging, and communication tasks in a single front-end device. Its machine-mounted design also places essential controls and system information within easy reach during production.
For operator interaction, the unit provides a 24-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. Its 16:9 aspect ratio matches standard HD content and provides room for multi-window SCADA layouts. The projected capacitive surface recognizes multi-finger gestures, enabling pinch-to-zoom control and rapid menu navigation. Internal computing resources boot from CFast solid-state storage, shortening startup times and eliminating rotating media. Communication with controllers or higher-level networks is handled through a single Ethernet port that supports selectable 100/1000 Mbit/s traffic over cable runs of up to 100 m. The electronics draw power directly from a 24 VDC machine supply, eliminating the need for a separate discrete I/O power feed and simplifying cabinet wiring. Hardware-based security is provided by an fTPM 2.0 module that supports cryptographic key storage and measured boot functions.
Field operation is supported by a cast aluminum housing with an IP65 rating, which protects the internal components against dust and low-pressure water jets during washdown cycles. Despite its rugged enclosure, the panel weighs only 10.1 kg, allowing a standard 48 mm mounting tube to carry the load without reinforcement. The gigabit network controller maintains signal integrity across the supported cable length, helping communication remain stable when the panel is installed away from the connected controller. During transport, the electronics tolerate shocks of up to 5 g for 30 ms. The unit also remains functional in ambient humidity of up to 95 percent when condensation is not present.
