Product Description:
The CP3721-0010 is a panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines computing, visualization, and fieldbus connectivity in a single enclosure, allowing it to serve as the primary human-machine interface in automated cells and packaging lines. Mounted on a swing arm, the device combines the functions of an industrial PC and a touch display, reducing wiring while giving operators direct control over motion sequences and process parameters.
Power for the platform is supplied at 24 VDC, so it can use the same low-voltage rail that feeds sensors and I/O blocks. A front-panel seal rated IP65 blocks dust and water jets, permitting washdown without auxiliary covers, while the gasket is compressed against the aluminum housing. The Intel i210 controller drives a push-pull RJ45 interface that supports cable runs up to 100 m, allowing network separation between the machine and the control room switch. The unit tolerates handling or production shocks of up to 5 G for 30 ms, helping keep the boards and multi-finger touch panel operational. Even with the rigid die-cast chassis, the overall mass is only 9.1 kg. The 12-pin round power connector accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm², simplifying wiring through the mounting arm.
The mounting arm seats on a tube with a 48 mm outside diameter and can pivot through a ±165° swivel range. This range allows the screen to be positioned for left- or right-handed stations without stressing the cable set. The board includes an enabled fTPM 2.0 secure element that provides encrypted key storage for license files and runtime credentials. Operation is permitted in ambient humidity up to 95%, making the panel suitable for filling rooms and other humid production areas. Gesture input through the multi-finger capacitive overlay remains responsive when gloves are worn. The push-pull Ethernet coupler supports secure network attachment, while the aluminum housing provides a rigid enclosure for arm-mounted operation.
