It combines a multi-finger touchscreen, an industrial computer, and native EtherCAT support, giving operators direct access to machine functions without requiring a separate control cabinet. Built into a sealed aluminum housing, the unit serves as the human-machine interface for automated lines, packaging stations, and material-handling equipment where deterministic networking and localized visualization are required. Its integrated design allows control, display, and communication functions to operate from a single machine-mounted device.
For time-critical fieldbus communication, the Panel PC sustains an EtherCAT cycle time of ≤ 1 ms. Network connectivity is handled by an onboard Intel i210 controller that drives the single Ethernet port, allowing cable runs of up to 100 m over standard twisted-pair media. Power is supplied through a 12-pin round connector from a 24 VDC source, so no internal AC conversion hardware is needed. The aluminum enclosure has an IP65 rating once the mating plug is tightened, keeping dust and low-pressure water jets away from sensitive circuitry.
