The CP3715-0020 is an industrial panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It serves as a combined visualization and control node, allowing PLC logic, motion commands, and user interfaces to run on one compact unit directly at the machine level. Its sealed construction and mounting system allow installation on swing arms beside packaging lines, assembly cells, or intralogistics stations. This placement brings real-time data and operator interaction to the immediate work area without requiring a separate control terminal.
The 15-inch TFT displays graphics at a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio, delivering clear HMI pages without scaling artifacts. A multi-finger projected-capacitive touch layer permits gesture input even through thin industrial gloves. The aluminum housing resists deformation and has an IP65 front rating that protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. A 48 mm mounting tube allows the screen to be swiveled into an ergonomic viewing position. The electronics operate from a 24 VDC supply and are protected by an internal 4 A fuse that interrupts power if excessive current occurs.
An Intel i210 Gigabit Ethernet controller connects to a single RJ45 interface for plant and machine networking. The connection supports cable runs up to 100 m when used with suitable Cat 5e or Cat 6 wiring. The single network port supports installations in which the panel PC operates as an EtherCAT master or OPC UA node. A firmware-based trusted platform module, fTPM 2.0, protects encryption keys and supports operating-system security functions. Program code and historical data reside on a removable CFast card, providing accessible storage for system files and recorded process information. The unit has a mass of 6.1 kg, which limits the mechanical load placed on the support arm. Passive cooling removes heat without fans that could draw airborne contaminants into the enclosure.
