Product Description:
The CP3713-0020 is a panel-mounted industrial computer produced by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. This unit combines a multi-touch display, an embedded CPU, and field communication capabilities inside an aluminum housing, allowing it to run PLC logic, visualization, and data acquisition directly on the machine. By uniting the control system and operator interface in one enclosure, it simplifies cabinet layouts and shortens signal paths in automated production cells. The integrated design also reduces the number of separate devices that must be accommodated around the machine.
An Intel i210 Ethernet controller provides switching and protocol support while the link negotiates at 100/1000 Mbit/s; this bandwidth allows deterministic fieldbus gateways and high-volume diagnostic traffic to share the same port. The connector is an industry-standard RJ45, and cable segments up to 100 m can be routed without repeaters. Internal electronics operate from a single 24 V DC supply, eliminating the need for separate AC feeds in the control arm. The front provides IP65 protection when its gasket is compressed against the mounting surface, blocking dust ingress and water jets during washdown. Application software resides on a removable CFast card, allowing operating systems and backup files to be exchanged without opening the chassis. A multi-finger projected-capacitive touchscreen recognizes simultaneous gestures for efficient machine navigation. An integrated fTPM 2.0 secure element stores encryption keys for network authentication and helps protect sensitive system credentials.
The panel withstands shocks up to 5 G for 30 ms and continues to function at a relative humidity as high as 95% without condensation. Installation on a swing arm is supported by a stainless-steel tube with a diameter of 48 mm, allowing rotation and height adjustment at the operator station. A locking 12-pin round power connector provides a secure electrical connection while maintaining the enclosure seal. With a mass of 5.7 kg, the assembly can be supported by standard articulated mounts without additional bracing. The aluminum housing supplies a rigid mounting structure for the display and internal electronics. Its panel-mounted arrangement places the touchscreen within easy reach while keeping the computing hardware enclosed behind the operating surface.
