The CP3713-0020 is a panel-mounted industrial computer produced by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. This unit combines a multi-touch display, an embedded CPU, and field communication capabilities inside an aluminum housing, allowing it to run PLC logic, visualization, and data acquisition directly on the machine. By uniting the control system and operator interface in one enclosure, it simplifies cabinet layouts and shortens signal paths in automated production cells. The integrated design also reduces the number of separate devices that must be accommodated around the machine.
An Intel i210 Ethernet controller provides switching and protocol support while the link negotiates at 100/1000 Mbit/s; this bandwidth allows deterministic fieldbus gateways and high-volume diagnostic traffic to share the same port. The connector is an industry-standard RJ45, and cable segments up to 100 m can be routed without repeaters. Internal electronics operate from a single 24 V DC supply, eliminating the need for separate AC feeds in the control arm. A locking 12-pin round power connector provides a secure electrical connection while maintaining the enclosure seal.
