Product Description:
The CP3713-0010 is a fanless Panel PC engineered by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for machine-mounted operation, the unit combines a capacitive touch display with an x86 motherboard so it can present process information and execute TwinCAT control tasks directly on the production floor. By integrating fieldbus and Ethernet channels, the computer replaces separate HMI terminals and PLC hardware in compact automation cells. Its housing supports tube-arm installation so the screen can be positioned close to conveyors or robots.
Deterministic networking is handled by an EtherCAT master that reaches cycle times of ≤1 ms, allowing synchronized motion or I/O updates without external switches. The onboard Intel i210 controller provides one industrial Ethernet channel through a Push-Pull RJ45 connector, supporting line topologies over cable runs up to 100 m. The connection provides a secure interface suited to machine-mounted installations where vibration could loosen a standard network plug. All interfaces sit behind a die-cast front with an ingress protection rating of IP65, so dust and directed water jets cannot reach the internal electronics. During transport or accidental impacts, the computer tolerates mechanical shocks up to 5 G. Operator input is captured by a multi-finger projected-capacitive touchscreen that recognizes standard gesture commands even when thin gloves are worn.
Power is supplied from a control cabinet at a nominal voltage of 24 VDC. The circuitry remains stable down to 22 VDC and accepts surges up to 30 VDC. Feed conductors up to 1.5 mm² can be inserted into the spring terminals, simplifying field wiring and eliminating the need for screw-type connections. For arm mounting, the rear housing clamps onto a 48 mm tube, and the complete assembly weighs 5.7 kg so it does not overload swivel joints. The unit can operate at relative humidity levels up to 95% without condensation. An fTPM 2.0 security component safeguards boot keys and certificates used by the operating system and installed control software.
