Product Description:
The CP3712-0010 is an industrial panel PC developed by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. As a combined operator interface and embedded controller, it allows machine builders to run automation software and present process data on a single unit, reducing cabinet space and wiring in distributed control architectures. Its role in industrial automation is to link field devices to supervisory networks while giving operators a durable touchscreen for direct interaction.
An Intel processor platform forms the computing core. For deterministic Ethernet traffic, the board carries an Intel i210 network controller that serves a single port; one cable run of up to 100 m can be used between the PC and the switch. Power is supplied at 24 VDC, so the panel can be wired directly to standard control-cabinet power rails without an external supply. With an IP65 front, the unit resists dust and water jets when it is mounted on a support arm at the machine. Operation is permitted at up to 95% RH under non-condensing conditions, enabling reliable use in humid packaging or washdown areas. Internal electronics withstand shocks of 5 G for 30 ms, providing resistance to vibration and accidental impacts.
The unit mounts on a tubular swing arm, and the mounting flange accepts a tube diameter of 48 mm. The housing can be rotated through ±165° for ergonomic positioning at different workstations. The aluminum enclosure has an electrically insulating surface and weighs 5.5 kg, which reduces the load placed on the support arm. User input relies on a multi-touch sensor that recognizes simultaneous gestures, eliminating the need for membrane keys. Nonvolatile data resides on CFast storage, which offers a compact form and resistance to mechanical stress. For cryptographic boot functions and device authentication, the integrated fTPM 2.0 provides firmware-based trusted computing capabilities.
