Product Description:
Beckhoff's CP3215-0010 is a multi touch panel PC designed for embedded control applications. It has a 330 MHz Freescale MPC8245 processor built in. The PC works at 133 MHz and can handle up to 256 MB of soldered SDRAM with ECC. It is ideal for industrial control settings.
The CP3215-0010 panel PC has two serial ports that can be set up as either two RS232 ports or one RS232 port plus one opt-isolated RS485 port. Users can add more Flash, NV-SRAM, or SRAM to the two 32-pin DIP sockets that come with it. It has 8 MB of set Flash memory. Up to two expansion units can be linked to the panel PC through a 100-pin PCI connector. I use one 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet port to connect to the internet. The chip has a 32 KB L1 cache and a JTAG/COP debug link. About 6.5 W of power is used. The PC can handle temperatures between 0°C and +70°C. If desired, the temperature can be adjusted from -40°C to +85°C. The hotter version is cooled using a passive cooling system.
