Product Description:
The CP2921-0000 is a panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff and assigned to the CP Panel PC Systems series. This product combines an industrial computer, display, and projected-capacitive touch front in one housing so it can function as the primary operator station on conveyors, packaging machines, or process skids. By concentrating visualization, parameter entry, and status feedback at the machine level, it reduces cabinet wiring and shortens HMI response paths.
The unit runs on a nominal supply of 24 VDC and may draw up to 16 A, so incoming conductors with a maximum cross-section of 1.5 mm² are sufficient. Front exposure to dust and water is guarded by a rating of IP65, while the rear electronics zone remains at IP20 to simplify heat dissipation inside enclosures. A PCT touchscreen enables multi-finger input through a laminated glass surface, eliminating the mechanical wear found in resistive panels. One DVI Extended input carries video from a remote host, and a 1 × USB-B socket allows direct service access. Two USB-A ports are provided for local peripherals such as barcode scanners or memory sticks. All field power lands on a five-position plug, and the wiring lugs accept individual strands up to 1.5 mm².
For long-distance display links, the DVI channel supports a reach of 50 m, letting the PC mount in a separate control room while the monitor remains on the machine in a strictly vertical orientation. Remote USB devices are handled through an RJ45-based extender that sustains a data rate of 480 Mbit/s across the same 50 m cable length, ensuring full-speed communication with touch controllers or flash drives. The power interface uses a 5-pin connector so that protective earth, supply, and sense lines remain keyed against reversal, and an internal clamp distributes current evenly to backplane electronics.
