Product Description:
The CP2919-1016-0000 is a panel-mounted industrial computer manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for machine-level installation, the unit combines processing electronics, touch display, and field wiring behind a sealed aluminum front. In an automation cell, it acts as the local human-machine interface, presenting process data, accepting operator input, and forwarding commands to the central controller over its communication ports. This arrangement keeps the display and user controls close to the machine without requiring a separate operator terminal.
The front side has an IP65 protection rating, so sprayed water and dust cannot reach the display electronics when the panel is fitted flush to an enclosure door. Visual data arrives through a DVI Extended interface, and the signal can be transported up to 50 m without an external repeater, allowing the PC to be separated from a remote graphics source. Power is supplied through a 5-pin connector; conductors up to 1.5 mm² fit the terminals and the circuit may draw as much as 16 A during inrush. For service access, a USB-B socket accepts a programming cable, while two USB-A ports let users connect storage media or peripherals. Networked USB devices are handled through an RJ45-style USB-E link that operates at 480 Mbit/s.
Behind the sealed front, the housing is rated IP20, which is sufficient for a protected control cabinet environment and keeps overall weight to 5.4 kg for simplified arm or swing mounting. The projected-capacitive screen relies on PCT technology to track gloved or bare-finger input, and the assembly is engineered to survive mechanical shocks up to 5 G so it remains functional on stamping presses or mobile platforms. The low mass also helps when the panel is installed on support arms or swing assemblies that must limit moving load. This combination supports use in enclosed operator stations where front sealing and compact mounting are both important.
