The CP2918-1006-0011 is an industrial panel PC produced by Beckhoff and assigned to the CP Panel PC Systems series. By combining a widescreen display, a multicore processor board, and fieldbus interfaces in one enclosure, the unit provides both visualization and soft PLC capability for modern machine stations. It installs directly into control cabinet doors or standalone operator consoles, giving operators immediate access to process data, recipe management, and diagnostic functions without an external computer. This integrated arrangement also reduces the number of separate devices and connections required at the operator station.
The front panel carries an 18.5-inch TFT display that presents graphics in a 16:9 format suitable for widescreen SCADA layouts. Images are rendered at a native resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, eliminating scaling artifacts that might blur trend lines or alarm icons. Input occurs through a projected-capacitive touch sensor laminated onto the glass, enabling multifinger operation even with thin work gloves. The electronics meet the EN 61000-6-4 emission standard and the EN 61000-6-2 immunity criterion, so the PC can share enclosures with high-frequency inverters without excessive electromagnetic coupling. A reinforced mounting frame withstands continuous vibration of 0.5 G between 58 and 500 Hz, helping maintain stable contacts in gantry-mounted installations.
Power enters through a 5-pin connector that supports field conductors up to 1.5 mm² and a maximum load of 16 A. The internal power supply is designed for a nominal 24 VDC feed and can continue booting when the voltage at the connector drops to 22 V. A sealed aluminum bezel provides IP65 protection at the front and IP20 protection at the rear, limiting the entry of dust and water at the exposed face while providing basic contact protection behind the panel. Conformal coating allows operation at a relative humidity of up to 95% RH. The assembly withstands shocks of 5 G for 30 ms, allowing direct mounting on press lines and mobile platforms where brief mechanical impacts may occur.
