Product Description:
The CP2918-0010 is a panel PC assembled by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines a 24-volt powered computer platform with an 18-inch touchscreen so machine operators can execute control tasks and observe process data directly at the equipment. Through the CP-Link connection, the unit transmits graphics and USB signals over a single Ethernet cable, making it a space-saving human-machine interface for distributed automation cells.
The electronics accept a nominal supply of 24 VDC; a dedicated power connector rated at 16 A supports this current so installers can size fusing and wiring appropriately. On the front, the housing carries an ingress rating of IP65, blocking dust and low-pressure water jets, while the rear maintains an IP20 classification for cabinet mounting. Operation remains stable in ambient relative humidity up to 95% without condensation. Communication with a host PC or control cabinet is handled by a CP-Link port that terminates on an RJ45 jack; the differential video and USB signals can be transported as far as 100 m over standard Cat 5e cable, and the internal USB channel sustains a 100 Mbit/s transfer rate. Two external USB outputs follow the 2.0 specification, and field wiring to the spring clamp terminals can use conductors up to 1.5 mm². Mechanical resilience covers 0.035 mm peak displacement from 10–58 Hz and 0.5 G acceleration from 58–500 Hz.
A capacitive glass front with PCT technology allows multi-finger input even through thin gloves, meeting ergonomic requirements on the plant floor. During transport or accidental impact, the assembly tolerates shocks up to 5 G, protecting the solid-state drives and electronics. Despite its aluminum chassis and wide display, the system keeps overall mass to 5.1 kg, easing installation on pendant arms or VESA mounts without additional counterweights.
