Product Description:
The CP2916-0000 is a panel PC that Beckhoff supplies as part of its CP Panel PC Systems series. Installed on control cabinets or machine frames, this unit combines processing hardware with an integrated touch display so operators can issue commands, view alarms, and monitor process data directly on the production floor. By housing computing resources at the point of operation, it eliminates the need for separate industrial PCs and simplifies human-machine interface layouts in automated cells. The integrated format also reduces cable runs between the display, controller, and external computer hardware, which helps keep enclosure layouts orderly. It is suited to applications where visualization and local control must remain available without installing a separate rack-mounted computer.
The aluminum front of the enclosure carries an ingress rating of IP65, sealing the display against dust and low-pressure water jets, while the rear section is wired for a nominal 24 VDC supply that is fed through a power connector rated at 16 A. That connector uses a 5-pin voltage socket and accommodates conductors up to 1.5 mm². For display extension, the DVI output can drive remote monitors across distances up to 50 m, and the USB 2.0 service port, implemented with a Type B receptacle, supports cable runs to 5 m. Two downstream USB lines are available for local peripherals such as scanners or memory sticks.
The steel rear section carries a separate sealing level of IP20, matching control-cabinet environments, and the assembly withstands shocks up to 5 G during transportation or machine impact events. Long-distance peripheral links use the USB-E interface, which reaches 50 m over an RJ45 adapter and moves data at a sustained 480 Mbit/s. This arrangement allows operator keyboards or service notebooks to be stationed away from hazardous zones. Total mass with the aluminum front is 4.2 kg, so the panel can be mounted on articulated arms without excess load.
