The Beckhoff’s CP2718-0000 belongs to the CP panel series. It comes with a TFT display of 18.5 inches and 1366 x 768 resolution, that allows users to easily input data through multi-finger touch operations. Its screen uses unbroken glass for both strength and enhancement of visual clarity while the aluminum material serves as a housing to protect against physical damages.
The CP2718-0000 CP panel has IP65 protection on the front section while its rear section is rated IP20. It positions all connectors toward the rear section for improved cable management and the unit can be mounted using pull-out clamping levers. The CP2718 CP panel functions with a power supply of 24 VDC and contains a 3½ inch industrial motherboard as a core component. It has single-core processor with model Intel Celeron ULV 827E that operates at 1.4 GHz clock speed and a graphics adapter resides inside the processor. The default memory configuration of this system includes 2 GB DDR3 RAM extendable up to 8 GB depending on the need. The system storage operates through a 4 GB CFast card that is provided in the package and gives access of two external card slots for the storage devices. The CP2718 CP panel allocates the main display connection through a DVI-D port although it still provides active use of its DVI-I port.
The CP2718-0000 CP panel runs on Windows 7 and Windows 10 IoT enterprise and contains 4 number of 2.0 connectors to establish peripheral USB compatibility. Its dual Ethernet ports enables 10/100/1000BASE-T speed and provides a SATA RAID 1 controller for secure storage through RST technology. The CP2718 panel operates optimally under TwinCAT automation software and with PLCs. It utilizes passive cooling method.
