The CP2624-0000 is an industrial panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff and included in the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed to unite control, visualization, and networking inside a single enclosure, the unit mounts directly on the machine front, where operators can issue commands, observe process data, and interface with real-time EtherCAT fieldbus segments. By integrating computing hardware behind a sealed display, the device removes the need for a separate cabinet-mounted PC while still supplying the deterministic performance required for motion, safety, and sequencing tasks in automated plants.
Its display is a TFT panel that provides consistent color reproduction for status screens. The display supports multi-finger touch input, allowing simultaneous gesture commands without external buttons. The aluminum front is sealed to IP65, so dust and water jets cannot enter the display area when the unit is panel-mounted, while the rear has IP20 protection that permits cabinet airflow. Internal electronics operate from a regulated 24 V DC supply commonly found on control power rails. Network traffic passes through an integrated controller that supports 10/100BASE-T bandwidth, providing sufficient throughput for PLC communication, recipe transfers, and remote diagnostics. The system withstands mechanical shocks up to 5 G, tolerates 95% relative humidity, and offers a MicroSD slot for removable data logging.
Field and service interfaces are routed to the rear panel. A dedicated RJ45 EtherCAT port links the PC directly to Beckhoff I/O nodes, while a separate RJ45 Ethernet port connects to plant networks. Legacy equipment can be attached through one RS-232 interface presented on a 9-pin D-sub connector. The unit also provides two USB 2.0 receptacles for mass-storage devices, keyboards, and other compatible peripherals. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to +55 °C. The assembly weighs 7.3 kg, allowing rigid mounting without placing excessive load on swing arms or control panels.
