The CP2618-0000 is a fanless Panel PC from Beckhoff that belongs to the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit combines an 18-inch operator display, an internal controller, and multiple industrial communication ports in one enclosure, allowing it to serve as both a machine-level HMI and an industrial PC for PLC tasks. Its integrated design reduces the need for separate monitors and control boxes while providing touch-based command entry on the plant floor. The aluminum-and-glass device can be mounted directly on a cabinet door or support arm, making it suitable for installations where display and control functions must remain accessible.
The front surface has a TFT display that supports multi-finger capacitive input, so operators can zoom or swipe through process pages without external pointing hardware. Internal electronics operate from a regulated 24 VDC supply delivered through a five-pin socket. The thermal design keeps the system functional at temperatures up to +55 °C. Its IP65 front and IP20 rear protection blocks dust and low-pressure water at the viewing surface while allowing ventilation inside the cabinet. The panel provides two USB 2.0 Type-A ports for devices such as backup drives and barcode readers. A single RJ-45 EtherCAT socket and a separate Ethernet interface support deterministic fieldbus communication and standard TCP/IP traffic, respectively. The enclosure withstands shocks of 5 G for 30 ms, supporting installation on equipment exposed to brief mechanical impacts. Network wiring can use one 10/100BASE-T RJ-45 connection when EtherCAT devices are arranged in a daisy chain, reducing the number of cable runs in larger automation cells. Despite its sealed front and cast housing, the unit has a mass of 5.2 kg, which reduces the load placed on an articulated mounting arm.
