The CP2299-0020 is an industrial panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. Intended for machine-front installation, it combines visualization, control logic, and network connectivity in a single enclosure to streamline human-machine interaction on automated lines. Separate protection levels for the display side and cabinet side allow the unit to sit flush in a panel while exposing its touchscreen to operators. The integrated computer can support PLC tasks, data logging, visualization, and fieldbus communication in demanding production environments without requiring a separate external display.
The hardware platform uses a 3.5-inch motherboard and provides one 2.5-inch drive bay for SATA storage, along with a dedicated CFast slot for removable media. A total of four external USB ports accommodate service tools, scanners, and other compatible peripherals. The display bezel has an IP65 front protection rating, guarding the internal electronics against dust and low-pressure water jets. Power is supplied at 24 VDC, and the pluggable supply connector supports up to 16 A for the computer and connected peripherals. Field wiring accepts conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 1.5 mm². The integrated UPS can supply 2.5 A at 27 VDC, providing enough time for an orderly shutdown when the main power supply is interrupted.
Networking is handled by two independent RJ45 interfaces. The primary Ethernet port uses an Intel i219 controller, while the secondary port uses an Intel i210 controller, providing a total of two Ethernet ports. Each network channel supports cable runs of up to 100 m, allowing the panel PC to operate at the edge of large production cells without requiring a nearby network switch. A rear-mounted security module provides fTPM 2.0 functionality for encrypted boot processes and protected key storage. The back of the housing has an IP20 protection rating because it is installed inside the cabinet. The sealed front panel protects the display area from coolant spray, metal chips, dust, and airborne oils encountered around industrial machinery.
