The CP2224-0020 is a 24-inch industrial Panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed as an HMI and edge controller, the unit combines a touchscreen display with an embedded computer so machine builders can run TwinCAT or other control software directly at the equipment. By merging visualization, data acquisition, and deterministic control in a single enclosure, it streamlines cabinet wiring and shortens response times on automated lines.
Electrical integration is straightforward because the computer operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC, eliminating the need for an internal AC converter. The computer has 2 LAN ports, allowing separate connections to control and plant networks. LAN1 uses an Intel i219 controller, while LAN2 uses an Intel i210 controller; both support 1000 Mbit/s. A copper network segment can extend up to 100 m, matching standard Cat-5e infrastructure. Security functions are supported by an fTPM 2.0 module that stores encryption keys in protected storage.
