Product Description:
The CP2221-0020 is an industrial panel PC from Beckhoff that belongs to the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines a widescreen display with an integrated multi-finger touchscreen to serve as a human-machine interface and computing node on the machine front. Designed for cabinet-door mounting, the unit links local sensors, drives, and higher-level controllers. It consolidates visualization, data logging, and soft-PLC tasks inside one enclosure, reducing the need for separate computing and display components.
The aluminum front carries a protection rating of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot enter the display area during washdowns. A nominal supply of 24 VDC lets the PC connect directly to the common control-voltage rail without extra conversion hardware. Networking is handled through two independent Gigabit Ethernet ports. The first port is driven by an Intel i219 controller, enabling Time-Sensitive Networking when supported by the connected switch. Cable runs can extend up to 100 m, matching standard copper Ethernet limits in the field. Power terminals accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², balancing current capacity with flexible wiring inside narrow routing channels. A single 2.5-inch hard-disk bay provides the primary mass-storage slot, while one CFast slot accommodates the operating system image or application data.
An 8-pin power connector simplifies service by grouping protective earth, logic supply, and the ignition signal in one molded plug rated for 16 A. The steel rear panel is classified as IP20, so it must be installed in a protected control cabinet. Hardware-level security is provided by a built-in fTPM 2.0 module that stores encryption keys for operating system and application protection. The projected-capacitive multi-finger touchscreen supports gesture input without the mechanical wear associated with physical controls. With its aluminum front, the assembly weighs 8.3 kg, which must be considered when selecting hinges or a mounting arm for swing-arm installations.
