The CP2221-0010 panel PC is produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. This model combines an industrial computer and a touch display in a sealed housing so it can serve as an operator terminal and edge controller on machine lines. By running control software locally and presenting the human-machine interface on the same device, it simplifies cabinet wiring and shortens response times in automated processes.

Because the display surface is sealed to an IP65 rating, the panel resists dust and low-pressure water jets on the production floor. User input is captured through a multi-finger touchscreen that recognizes simultaneous gestures for zooming or panning. External peripherals connect through 4 USB ports, while network segregation is achieved with 2 Ethernet ports. A single DVI-I interface drives an auxiliary screen, and an RS-232 port supports serial sensors. The system draws power at 24 VDC through the rear terminal, which matches standard control-circuit supplies. Hardware authentication is provided by an integrated fTPM 2.0 module that stores keys for secure boot. Internally, the electronics sit on a compact 3.5-inch motherboard that leaves space for expansion cards.

The rear electronics section is limited to IP20 protection, so it must be positioned inside a cabinet or console. An integrated UPS module supplies 27 VDC at up to 2.5 A, allowing the PC to shut down gracefully during a loss of mains power. Incoming power reaches the board through an 8-pin locking voltage socket that resists loosening under vibration. The unit has an aluminum front and weighs 8.3 kg, keeping arm-mounted installations stable without imposing an excessive load.
