The CP2219-1017-0000 is a panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. As a combined visualization and control platform, the unit mounts directly on equipment fronts. It runs HMI software that communicates with PLCs over Ethernet networks, streamlining machine operation in industrial automation.
The computer draws its logic power from a 20.4–30 VDC supply, so it can share low-voltage power sources with compact controllers inside the same cabinet. Network and peripheral access are provided by two RJ45 ports, four USB ports, one DVI port, and one RS-232 port, allowing direct connections to Ethernet networks, removable media, external displays, and legacy serial sensors. A projected-capacitive touchscreen with multi-finger input spans the 19-inch display area, allowing simultaneous gestures for machine commands or zoom functions. The aluminum housing and laminated glass front provide a front rating of IP65 and a rear rating of IP20, sealing the operator side against dust and water while keeping the rear ventilation openings inside the enclosure. Despite the metal bezel, the assembly weighs 7.8 kg, making it manageable for hinge or arm mounting. Base mass storage consists of a 2.5-inch drive bay and a CFast slot for operating system imaging or data logging.
The power connection uses an eight-pin socket with a 16 A rating, and field wiring terminates in spring terminals that accept conductors up to 1.5 mm². The unit has shock resistance of 5 G for 30 ms, allowing the electronics to withstand accidental impacts during handling. During continuous operation, the unit tolerates rail or machine vibration with a profile of 10–58 Hz at 0.035 mm and 58–500 Hz at 0.5 G, reducing the risk of connector or display fatigue in conveyor or press lines. Thermal management is supported by a fanless aluminum rear cover, and the glass surface resists chemical splashes.
