The CP2216-0000 is an industrial panel PC produced by Beckhoff in the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for cabinet or arm mounting on the machine front, the unit combines a touchscreen display, onboard computing hardware, and fieldbus connectivity. It serves as a human-machine interface and control node within automated production cells.
The front panel integrates a 15.6 in display with a native resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels, giving operators sufficient workspace for visualization and parameter entry. The projected-capacitive surface supports Multi-Finger Touch, so gesture control and simultaneous button presses are recognized even through thin work gloves. To withstand washdowns and airborne dust, the aluminum bezel achieves IP65 ingress protection, while the steel rear section is rated IP20 for cabinet environments. One 2.5-inch drive bay and a single CFast slot accommodate solid-state or rotating storage media, allowing separation of operating system and machine data. An integrated fTPM 2.0 secure element stores cryptographic keys and supports trusted boot processes that protect the controller against unauthorized changes.
The electronics are powered from a 24 VDC nominal supply that is common in machine control cabinets, eliminating the need for additional power converters. 2 LAN interfaces permit separation of the automation network from supervisory IT traffic, while 4 USB ports provide direct attachment of service keyboards, scanners, or removable storage. The system operates reliably between 0 °C and a maximum ambient temperature of +55 °C; for transport or warehouse staging, it tolerates -25 °C to +65 °C without component damage.
