The CP2212-0020 is a 12-inch multitouch Panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines an industrial display with an integrated motherboard, allowing control software such as TwinCAT to run directly at the machine frame. This integrated design reduces cabinet space and limits the cabling required between the operator interface and the PLC. The display provides a local interface for machine operation, process visualization, and control tasks in industrial automation systems.
This model operates from a nominal 24 VDC supply, allowing direct connection to standard control-cabinet power rails. Two independent Gigabit Ethernet ports support separate machine and plant networks. LAN 1 uses an Intel i219 controller, while LAN 2 uses an Intel i210 controller. Both ports support a maximum data rate of 1000 Mbit/s, allowing the system to transfer high-volume process data or camera streams without additional fieldbus cards. The aluminum front panel has an IP65 rating, providing dust-tight protection and resistance to low-pressure water jets, while the rear has an IP20 rating for cabinet installation. The system also provides fTPM 2.0 functionality as a secure root of trust. The unit withstands shocks up to 5 G for 30 ms, helping it tolerate vibration and impact near industrial machinery. Its mass of 5.2 kg reduces the load placed on the mounting surface during panel installation.
Continuous operation is permitted at temperatures from 0 °C to 55 °C, supporting use in control cabinets and machine-mounted installations. The unit can operate at relative humidity levels up to 95% non-condensing, provided that moisture does not form on internal components. During transportation or storage, the permitted temperature range extends from -25 °C to 65 °C. Each Ethernet connection supports copper cable runs of up to 100 m, allowing the Panel PC to communicate with remote network switches without repeaters. The sealed front protects the display and touch interface when the device is correctly mounted in a suitable panel. The IP20 rear remains intended for an enclosed area that prevents direct contact with internal electrical components.
