Product Description:
The CB3060-0007 is a compact industrial motherboard developed by Beckhoff within the CB Modular Motherboards series. Serving as the core of embedded PCs and control stations, it provides a standardized platform for processors, storage, and fieldbus interfaces. Inside a panel PC or DIN-rail computer, the board links peripheral I/O and network traffic to higher-level automation software for deterministic motion control, data collection, and supervisory communication. Its role is to provide the central hardware layer that connects computing resources with machine-level interfaces in production lines and test benches.
Physical dimensions of 102 x 147 mm allow the board to fit compact industrial computer layouts while still leaving room for heatsinks and expansion hardware inside a control cabinet. Two SO-DIMM204 slots accept up to 16 GB of dual-channel memory, and the controller runs that memory at DDR3L-1600 rates to balance bandwidth with low power draw. Dual Ethernet transformers support 10/100/1000Base-T signaling, and two RJ-45 jacks allow the board to connect to separate or redundant plant networks. For operator panels, the board provides two DVI/HDMI interfaces, and the total of 11 USB connections supports multiple peripherals such as touchscreens, USB drives, and cameras without needing an external hub. An AMI Aptio BIOS manages boot order and watchdog settings.
The storage subsystem connects through 4 SATA sockets, and the southbridge supports selectable 0/1/5/10 RAID modes for striping or mirroring across connected drives. Four RS-232/422 headers support legacy serial devices, while eight GPIO pins provide direct bit-level signaling for indicators or simple control tasks. The board also includes 3 PWM-controlled fan headers for enclosure airflow management. Multimedia functions are handled by an integrated HDA 5.1 codec, which provides multichannel audio output without requiring an additional expansion card.
