Product Description:
The CB3050-0007 is a modular industrial motherboard produced by Beckhoff within the CB Modular Motherboards series. Targeted at embedded control PCs, the board supplies the processing and I/O infrastructure that synchronizes drives, handles user interfaces, and links fieldbuses inside factory automation cells. Its compact footprint allows direct integration into DIN-rail or panel-mounted enclosures that supervise conveyors, packaging machines, and material-handling stations.
At the heart of the platform, the Intel 82855GME northbridge pairs with an Intel 82801DB southbridge to provide a 333 MHz front-side bus that accepts DDR-333 SO-DIMM200 memory modules up to 2 GB. Dual IDE controllers expose two ports for legacy hard disks or optical drives, while four serial channels support barcode scanners or HMI panels. Six USB ports provide high-speed USB 2.0 plug-and-play expansion. Graphics signals leave the board through a DVI-I connector for digital or analog monitors and through an 18/24-bit LVDS header for direct-drive flat panels. Audio is handled by the Realtek ALC655 codec. Network traffic is managed by a 10/100Base-T interface for control loops, while the second Ethernet port is intended for higher-bandwidth data traffic.
The board measures 102 mm × 147 mm, fits Eurocard carrier frames, and runs entirely from a 5 V backplane supply, simplifying power distribution in compact controllers. The maximum die temperature is 100 °C, allowing fanless operation in sealed cabinets when ambient limits are respected. The second Ethernet controller supports 10/100/1000Base-T links so that recipe files or vision data can move without loading the control network. BIOS configuration is handled through AWARD 6.10, and hardware monitoring logic shuts down the processor when die limits are approached.
