Product Description:
The CB3050-0001 is a modular motherboard developed by Beckhoff within the CB Modular Motherboards series. Designed for fanless industrial PCs and compact control stations, the board integrates processor, memory, and extensive I/O on a single footprint. It provides the computing core that executes PLC code, handles real-time fieldbus communication, and drives operator displays while occupying minimal panel depth. The design supports embedded Intel processors and coordinates peripheral modules through standard PC buses, allowing performance to be scaled without changing the carrier hardware.
The board follows the 3.5-inch SBC format and measures 102 x 147 mm, so it can be installed on DIN-rail carriers or behind panel monitors. At its core, the Intel 855GME + ICH4 chipset provides memory control and southbridge functions, while integrated graphics expose CRT/DVI/LVDS outputs for analog or digital panels. Network traffic is handled by 2 Ethernet ports, which support machine network segmentation. System memory is installed in a DDR-333 ECC SO-DIMM200 socket, and the board accepts up to 2 GByte. Six USB 2.0 connectors are available with a per-port limit of 500 mA, and four serial ports support legacy RS-232 or RS-422 links to drives, scanners, or barcode readers.
A single 1 x Mini-PCI Type III slot allows additional fieldbus adapters or WLAN cards when more communication paths are required. The LVDS interface supports 18/24-bit color depth so high-resolution TFT panels can be connected without converters, and the graphics engine shares system memory for stable display operation. Power is supplied through a regulated 5 V rail, enabling direct installation in low-voltage cabinets without auxiliary converters. Two fan headers accept optional cooling fans, while the onboard AC97 codec and SPDIF in and out provide audio support for annunciation or measurement tasks.
