The CB1064-0002 modular motherboard is produced by Beckhoff as part of the CB Modular Motherboards series. It forms the computing core of industrial PCs used for motion control, data logging, and machine visualization. By concentrating CPU, memory, and high-speed I/O on a single board, it simplifies cabinet layouts and reduces wiring in automated lines. This integrated layout supports industrial computers that handle control tasks and display output from one serviceable platform. It also keeps processor, storage, and network resources close together for low-latency internal communication.
The board runs the AMI Aptio V UEFI, enabling parameter storage and secure boot functions required in regulated manufacturing. Its physical footprint is 305 x 220 mm, which fits standard ATX mounting points in compatible IPC housings. Four memory sockets accept up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM using 4x SO-DIMM260 DDR4-2133 modules, so high-speed buffering is available for large data sets and virtualization tasks. Two Gigabit Ethernet controllers provide 2x 10/100/1000 Mbit/s links for deterministic fieldbus traffic or redundant network topologies. Display connectivity includes dual DVI-D ports and a DisplayPort 1.2 interface, with the latter supporting 4096 × 2304 at 60 Hz for multi-monitor HMIs.
Mass storage connects through 6x SATA 3.0 channels that can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 to balance throughput and data integrity. External peripherals connect through 8x USB 2.0, 4x USB 3.0 headers, separating service devices from high-bandwidth cameras or sensors. Expansion cards are accommodated by a backplane that offers two legacy PCI32 positions, several PCIe x1 and x4 lanes, and a dedicated PCIe x16 slot for GPUs or high-speed fieldbus adapters. An integrated TPM supports encryption keys without occupying a socket. The board is powered from a Standard ATX PSU, which simplifies cabinet wiring and supports integration into compatible IPC housings. Maximum display resolutions of 4096 × 2160 over HDMI are also supported, so high-definition dashboards can be served directly from the controller.
