The CB1050-0003 modular motherboard is produced by Beckhoff within the CB Modular Motherboards series. It functions as the central computing layer inside industrial PCs and compact controllers, hosting automation software that coordinates motion, I/O, and human-machine interfaces. By conforming to the ATX layout, it can be installed in standard control cabinets and supports PC-based control platforms with familiar mechanical and electrical provisions. Its component selection is intended for long-term availability in machinery and process applications that remain in service for extended operating periods.
It is built around the Intel 855GME + ICH4 chipset, so it supports Celeron M or Pentium M processors with a 400 MHz front-side bus, balancing thermal load with predictable cycle times. Two DIMM-184 sockets accept DDR-333 modules up to 2 GB, and the board addresses that memory at 333 MT/s for steady data access during cyclic control tasks. System expansion is available through 6 PCI slots, which allows add-in cards for fieldbus, motion, or communication functions when the application requires them.
