Product Description:
The C6930-1106-0050 is an industrial PC produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It is intended to execute control logic, data collection, and visualization tasks in automated machinery and plant cells. When installed in a protected cabinet, the unit serves as the central computing platform that links fieldbus devices, operator panels, and higher-level networks, providing deterministic processing and standard PC functionality in one enclosure. This arrangement allows one cabinet-mounted computer to handle machine coordination, user interface tasks, and data exchange with surrounding automation equipment.
The controller is powered from a nominal supply of 24 V DC, so it can share the same low-voltage rail that feeds sensors and control relays. Two Ethernet interfaces presented on 2 × RJ45 jacks support the 100/1000BASE-T standard, enabling real-time communication with PLC networks and enterprise servers. Four USB ports allow removable media or service peripherals, with the total count noted as 4. Graphics are routed through a single DVI connector, while legacy devices connect over one RS232 serial port. Expansion is possible through two PCIe module slots, giving room for fieldbus or special I/O cards when the application needs added connectivity. The housing carries an IP20 protection rating, indicating finger-safe access but a requirement for cabinet mounting. A power plug rated at 8 A mates with the 8-pin supply connector, and the terminal accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm², simplifying wiring in standard industrial trunking. This combination of network, display, serial, and expansion connections supports both current automation devices and older auxiliary equipment in the same installation.
The mechanical design withstands a shock load of 5 G for 30 ms, helping the system remain stable when the cabinet experiences sudden impacts. Emitted interference is limited according to EN 61000-6-4, while immunity to industrial disturbances meets the tougher EN 61000-6-2 level, so the PC keeps running near high-power drives. Ethernet drop cables can reach a maximum of 100 m, letting the unit be installed well away from control panels without signal repeaters. That combination supports reliable communication and computing performance in areas where electrical noise, switching events, and occasional mechanical shock are present.
