Product Description:
The C6930-1045-0050 is an industrial PC engineered by Beckhoff as part of the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Serving as a compact control platform, the device integrates CPU resources, fieldbus communication, and local visualization support so it can host PLC logic, motion sequences, and data-logging tasks inside machine cabinets. Its role in automation is to replace separate controllers with one embedded computer that interfaces directly with drives, sensors, and supervisory networks, which helps keep cabinet layouts compact and centralizes control functions in a single unit.
Power is introduced at 24 VDC through an 8-pin plug, a format common to low-voltage cabinets. For deterministic networking, the chassis carries 2 × RJ45, 100/1000BASE-T sockets, and each connection supports the stated 100 m segment length. Bandwidth negotiation is automatic, eliminating manual dip-switch or jumper adjustment during setup. A pair of 2 USB 3.0 ports accommodates vision cameras or high-speed storage, while a single 1 × RS232 channel on the 9-pin D-Sub maintains compatibility with legacy serial instrumentation. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a protected electrical enclosure rather than direct exposure on the machine exterior.
Two internal PCIe module slots permit expansion with fieldbus adapters or additional SSDs without altering the footprint. Visual output for operator panels is provided by one digital DVI interface, which avoids the need for analog conversion hardware and supports direct connection to compatible displays. Network traffic is handled by Intel i218 and Intel i210 controllers, giving the IPC dual Gigabit Ethernet capability for separated machine and plant communication paths. Operation remains stable up to 95% RH non-condensing, and transport shocks of 5 G, 30 ms are tolerated without data corruption. Service access is supported by 2 USB 2.0 ports, which provide both power and data for removable media, input devices, and common service accessories.
