Its DIN-rail housing lets it mount beside I/O terminals, while passive cooling eliminates moving parts, making the unit suitable for continuous operation in packaging or material-handling cabinets.
Control-cabinet integration is based on a supply of 24 V DC, drawn through an 8 A pluggable connector that matches the cabinet power bus. Two gigabit interfaces, 2 x 100/1000BASE-T, support EtherCAT networks and standard IT traffic over cables up to 100 m. A front panel stack exposes 4 USB receptacles, each capable of sourcing 900 mA for scanners, flash drives, or service adapters.
