The C6930-1016-0030 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff as part of the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It functions as a centralized controller that runs deterministic motion, logic, and communication tasks inside automated machinery and process equipment. By combining CPU, storage, and fieldbus connectivity in a compact enclosure, the unit replaces separate PLC racks and embedded controllers. This arrangement helps simplify panel layouts, reduces interconnection wiring, and keeps control hardware concentrated in one cabinet location.
All primary electronics are supplied from a 24 V DC source through an 8-pin power connector that carries up to 8 A and accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm². For networking, two onboard 2 GbE ports support standard Ethernet segments and VLAN separation in automation cells, so control traffic and plant-level communication can be kept on separate network paths. Local peripherals connect through 4 USB ports, while video output is handled by 1 DVI port for operator panels or service monitors. Expansion cards such as fieldbus masters can be added through 2 PCIe slots, allowing the controller to support servo drives, I/O islands, or specialized measurement boards without replacing the base unit.
The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for cabinet installation when dust or liquid exposure is possible. During transport or machine impacts, the system withstands up to 5 G of shock for 30 ms without data loss, and a soldered fTPM 2.0 module protects encrypted keys stored by the controller. Operation is permitted at relative humidity up to 95 %, provided condensation is avoided and temperatures remain above freezing. A dedicated RS232 port supports remote diagnostics, and the Ethernet copper links can be routed up to 100 m in larger machine layouts.
