The C6930-1013-0040 is a compact industrial PC produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. As a DIN-rail computer, it supplies supervisory control, data acquisition, and motion coordination for distributed I/O and drive networks in automated machinery. The unit’s x86 architecture supports TwinCAT or other real-time software so machine builders can consolidate PLC logic, HMI services, and edge analytics on one fanless platform.
The electronics are powered by a nominal 24 V DC supply that enters through an 8-pin terminal block, allowing redundant feeds and ground continuity. Network traffic is routed through 2 Ethernet ports presented on RJ45 jacks; they support standard industrial switching without special adapters. Four downstream USB sockets provide peripheral expansion, and each port can supply up to 900 mA so barcode imagers or local hubs receive adequate bus power. A total of 4 USB ports are available beside a single DVI-I interface for panel displays. Legacy serial devices connect through one RS-232 channel that terminates at a 9-pin D-sub connector. Two PCIe module slots allow fieldbus masters or specialized motion cards to be installed without increasing the enclosure width. The metal housing carries an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against finger contact while requiring installation inside a cabinet.
Mechanical resilience includes shock resistance of 5 G for impacts lasting 30 ms, helping the computer withstand brief mechanical shocks in press or packaging lines. The system includes fTPM 2.0, which provides secure key storage for encrypted field updates. Reliable operation is maintained in atmospheres with relative humidity up to 95%, provided condensation is prevented through appropriate cabinet climate control.
