The C6930-1009-0030 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Designed as a compact DIN-rail platform, it provides centralized control, visualization, and communication functions for machine cells and production lines. By integrating a quad-core processor, solid-state storage, and fieldbus flexibility, the unit performs deterministic PLC tasks and edge-level data handling while occupying minimal cabinet space.
Its electrical interface is anchored by a 24 V DC nominal supply that feeds an 8-pole power connector. The same connector is rated at 8 A and fitted with 8 pins, so the wiring harness can carry both logic power and protective earth through conductors up to 1.5 mm². Four USB 3.0 receptacles deliver a total of 4 host ports, and each port is current-limited to 900 mA for common HMI panels and service tools. Display output is provided through a DVI-D socket that carries digital video only, and legacy equipment can be attached through a 9-pin D-sub RS-232 channel. Security is handled by an onboard fTPM 2.0 module, while BIOS settings are backed by a 225 mAh CR2032 coin cell that supplies 3.0 V to the motherboard RTC. The housing carries an IP20 protection rating, permitting finger-safe installation inside closed cabinets.
Installation is suited for control cabinets with limited airflow. The fanless chassis tolerates a relative humidity of up to 95% without condensation and withstands mechanical impacts of 5 G, 30 ms, covering common transportation and machine-mounted shock events. Networking can be routed up to 100 m through the integrated dual-port Gigabit LAN controller, simplifying remote I/O placement on large production lines and allowing longer cabinet-to-device runs without additional network hardware. A fuseless design helps streamline panel wiring, and the digital video output avoids analog crosstalk in multi-monitor cells.
