Product Description:
The C6930-1003-0020 is a fanless industrial PC developed by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Engineered for DIN-rail mounting inside control cabinets, the computer provides deterministic processing for PLC, motion, and HMI tasks, allowing it to serve as the central controller in distributed automation cells. Its compact profile allows direct integration next to I/O terminals, reducing wiring distances and maintaining the 24-volt power domain commonly used for machine-level control. The fanless design also eliminates moving cooling components and allows heat to dissipate through the housing.
The system operates from a nominal supply of 24 V DC that is fed through an eight-pin connector rated at 8 A and supports field wiring up to 1.5 mm². Two Gigabit Ethernet controllers connect to the front panel through two RJ45 jacks, and each port accepts twisted-pair cables up to 100 m long for real-time EtherCAT or standard TCP/IP networking. For additional expansion, the motherboard carries two PCIe Mini Card slots, while one nine-pin D-Sub connector provides an RS-232 channel for legacy serial devices. The IP20 protection rating limits installation to dry, enclosed control cabinets where the unit is protected from conductive dust and direct exposure to moisture.
The unit includes four USB 3.0 receptacles, and each port can supply up to 900 mA to keyboards, scanners, storage devices, or other compatible peripherals. Display data is delivered through a single DVI-D output with a 24-pin contact set; the digital-only video connection avoids analog conversion errors when used with modern monitors. Hardware-based security is available through an integrated TPM module with fTPM 2.0 enabled, allowing protected key storage for OPC UA or VPN credentials. The available network, serial, USB, display, and expansion connections support integration with control hardware and operator interfaces without requiring a separate external computer.
