Product Description:
The C6925-1003 industrial PC is built by Beckhoff and belongs to the C6 Industrial PC Units series. This fanless controller combines CPU resources, fieldbus interfaces, and data storage in a slim aluminum housing so it can mount beside drives and I/O in a control cabinet. It provides deterministic computing power for PLC logic, motion coordination, and HMI tasks, linking higher-level networks with sensors and actuators on the machine. Its compact format reduces wiring distances and supports decentralized architectures where the control node must withstand typical plant floor conditions.
Power enters through an 8-pole plug that accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm² and is protected by a 16 A rated connector. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so it is intended for installation inside a cabinet with controlled airflow. Because the computer relies on passive heat dissipation, clearance around the cooling fins is required instead of additional fans. For visual output, a DVI-I port is provided, allowing either analog or digital displays to be connected directly. Two front-mounted USB 2.0 sockets support service tools, data logging drives, or touch panels, while the 9-pin D-Sub carries an RS-232 channel for legacy serial devices. Shock-limiting threaded inserts secure the board assembly, and the electronics tolerate continuous cabinet vibration of 0.035 mm amplitude without losing signal integrity at the connectors.
The unit remains operational at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C, which matches its passive cooling design. During machine duty cycles, it withstands repetitive vibration acceleration of 0.5 G and single shocks reaching 5 G, helping keep the solder joints and internal assemblies stable. A compact 3.5 in motherboard helps limit the total mass to 1.85 kg, which supports mounting on light-gauge rail without extra supports. The small form factor also fits cabinets where space is limited and where nearby motion can transmit vibration to installed electronics.
