Product Description:
Beckhoff’s C6925-0000 is a fanless industrial PC in the C6 Industrial PC Units series. The unit integrates directly into control cabinets, supplying deterministic computing power for PLC logic, motion sequences, and fieldbus routing in automated machines and process lines. Its compact housing and DIN-rail mounting allow the controller to be placed close to I/O terminals, which helps reduce cable runs and supports decentralized machine layouts. It can serve as the central computing node for compact machines that need local control and network connectivity in the same housing.
The system accepts a 24 VDC supply through an 8-pole power connector, allowing it to share low-voltage rails with sensors and drives when the branch circuit is protected correctly. Communication to higher-level networks is provided through two RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet sockets, while legacy serial devices attach to a single RS-232 interface for simple point-to-point data exchange. The front panel provides 4 x USB 2.0 ports for removable media or service access, and a 1 x DVI-I output drives local HMIs without add-on graphics cards. The enclosure is rated at IP20, which protects against accidental finger contact and settled dust inside the control cabinet. Heat is transferred through aluminum fins, so passive cooling removes moving parts that could fail or pull airborne contaminants into the chassis. A fieldbus option slot carries one 9-pin D-Sub connector for protocols such as CANopen.
Continuous service is permitted up to 55 °C, and operation remains stable in ambient humidity levels as high as 95% RH without condensation. Non-condensing humidity tolerance supports use in cabinets exposed to seasonal temperature swings, provided moisture does not collect on internal electronics. Mechanical shocks during transport or on-machine impact are tolerated up to 5 G for 30 ms, which helps the unit withstand routine handling and machine vibration events. Power wiring may use conductors up to 1.5 mm², and protection against branch short circuits is coordinated with a 16 A upstream fuse.
