Product Description:
The C6920-1148-0060 is a compact industrial PC from Beckhoff in the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Two internal cooling fans move air across the 3.5-inch motherboard, which is mounted directly behind the I/O panel. Intended for machine-level automation, the computer can run real-time PLC, motion-control, and HMI tasks in parallel. This capability allows production lines to use one device for sequencing drives, logging operating data, and serving visualization clients. Installing the controller inside a control cabinet shortens fieldbus runs, limits electromagnetic exposure, and reduces the space required for separate PLC and operator terminal hardware.
The power section uses a nominal input of 24 VDC supplied through an eight-pole connector that accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm². The input is fused for a continuous load of 16 A. Network connectivity is provided through two RJ-45 BASE-T ports, allowing plant Ethernet and service traffic to use separate connections. A dedicated D-Sub-9 fieldbus port supports legacy communication protocols, while four USB 2.0 receptacles accommodate scanners, flash drives, and wireless adapters. Legacy serial equipment connects through one RS-232 D-Sub-9 port. The front panel also includes one DVI-I output for connection to an industrial monitor.
The housing provides IP20 protection, helping prevent contact with internal components and the entry of large solid objects when the computer is installed in a cabinet. The unit can operate at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C and can be stored without power at temperatures up to 65 °C. It supports non-condensing humidity levels up to 95% RH, although the surrounding cabinet must provide suitable protection against direct moisture exposure. Shock resistance is rated at 5 G for 30 ms, supporting installation near machinery that produces short mechanical impacts. The compact enclosure can be positioned close to drive amplifiers and I/O terminals, while the cabinet provides the physical protection required for the IP20 housing.
