Product Description:
The C6920-1118-0050 is an industrial PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. The unit serves as a compact control computer that runs PLC, motion, and visualization tasks directly on the machine level. This allows centralized coordination of drives, I/O, and field devices in automated lines.
The system is supplied with a nominal input of 22-30 VDC, and its incoming circuit can be protected with a maximum fuse rating of 16 A. For proper wiring, the power socket accepts an 8-pole connector and conductors up to 1.5 mm². During operation, the electronics remain functional between 0 to 55 °C, while long-term storage is permissible from −25 to 65 °C. Two internal fans move air across the 3.5-in motherboard to dissipate heat generated by the CPU, chipset, and memory. The housing meets IP20, so it must be installed inside a cabinet, yet it provides easy access to I/O headers. Mechanical durability is demonstrated by a shock rating of 5 G, 30 ms, allowing the PC to withstand typical machine vibrations and incidental impacts without data loss.
Network and peripheral connectivity are broad. Machine controllers can be linked through the dual-port Ethernet block that supports 2 × 10/100/1000BASE-T. Local sensors or service tools may be attached to the front panel’s 4 × USB 2.0 receptacles, while legacy equipment can still be addressed through a single RS232 interface. Real-time field communication is handled by a dedicated 1 × 9-pin Sub-D connector, and operator displays connect over the graphics output of 1 × DVI-I. The compact computer architecture is completed by a 3.5-in motherboard form factor, keeping the enclosure depth low so the PC can mount on DIN rail or shelf surfaces in crowded control panels.
