Product Description:
The industrial PC model C6920-1057-0030 is built by Beckhoff and belongs to the C6 Industrial PC Units series. In an automation cell, this unit serves as the central controller that executes motion programs, operator interface tasks, and fieldbus communication from a compact slot in the control cabinet. Its x86 architecture and modular interfaces let machine builders integrate deterministic control software alongside standard IT functions without deploying separate computers.
Electrical intake to the PC passes through an eight-pole power plug that carries up to 16 A, and the recommended conductor cross-section is 1.5 mm². Two axial fans move air across the 3.5-inch motherboard and attached components, keeping temperatures within the IP20 housing. Network traffic on the X102 Ethernet port can negotiate at 10/100/1000BASE-T, providing gigabit throughput to PLC networks or higher-level MES systems. Four rear-panel USB receptacles comply with the USB 2.0 standard, and the group is presented as 4 USB ports for scanners, removable media, or service dongles. The rear panel combines power, Ethernet, and USB connections in a layout suited to cabinet installation and regular machine use.
When the cabinet is mounted on moving equipment, the chassis tolerates shocks of 5 G for periods up to 30 ms without data loss. Display signals exit through a DVI-I connector, enabling single-cable links to digital or analog monitors during setup. For fieldbus wiring, an isolated 9-pin D-Sub socket is provided, while a separate RS232 port offers a service channel for diagnostics. A second Ethernet jack, X103, provides a separate network connection, allowing machine and plant networks to remain electrically separate. The controller can operate on gantries, presses, or other machinery where vibration and multiple communication layers coexist.
