Product Description:
The C6920-1044-0030 Industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Designed as a compact control platform, the unit hosts machine-level operating systems. It also supports real-time fieldbus communication and data processing required for automated production cells.
Power is supplied at 24 VDC, allowing the computer to share the same low-voltage rail used by sensors and actuators. The recommended supply conductors have a cross-section of 1.5 mm², which helps limit voltage drop over typical cabinet runs, and they terminate on an eight-pole power plug. For network integration, two Gigabit ports follow the 10/100/1000BASE-T standard, which provides automatic negotiation from legacy 10 Mbit links up to full-duplex 1 Gbit channels. A separate 9-pin SUB-D socket carries fieldbus signals to remote terminals. The motherboard follows the compact 3.5-inch form factor, so the processing electronics fit into a shallow enclosure that can be mounted close to machinery. Two built-in cooling fans move air across the heat-generating components, and the housing carries an IP20 protection class, meaning it is touch-safe but must be installed inside a sealed cabinet.
Upstream circuit protection can be sized to the unit’s maximum load because the input accepts up to 16 A before the external fuse clears. Four front-panel receptacles support removable media and service keyboards through the backward-compatible USB 2.0 bus, enabling diagnostics without opening the cabinet. Legacy controllers can stay in service because a dedicated serial channel is provided through an RS232 interface that terminates on a 9-pin SUB-D connector. Local displays connect over the integrated DVI-I port, which carries both analog and digital video so standard monitors or flat-panel touchscreens can be used without adapters.
