The C6920-1039-0030 is a compact industrial PC manufactured by Beckhoff and supplied within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Intended for cabinet installation next to field I/O and drive controllers, this computer executes deterministic control tasks and real-time data logging inside automated machinery and continuous-process equipment. Its compact format also suits control cabinets where computing hardware must share limited space with power distribution and communication modules.
In normal operation, the computer is powered from a 24 VDC control supply, which removes the need for an internal power module and simplifies field wiring. Two axial cooling fans move air through the aluminum housing to maintain component temperature during sustained CPU loads. Environmental ingress is limited by the IP20 rating, so the PC must sit inside a closed electrical cabinet. Network connectivity is delivered through 2 Ethernet ports that support 10/100/1000BASE-T signaling; this permits simultaneous machine traffic and plant-wide communication at gigabit speed. The motherboard follows the 3.5-inch embedded form factor, providing space for high-density I/O while keeping the enclosure small enough for DIN-rail mounting. Four USB receptacles operate at the USB 2.0 standard for service tools, scanners, or removable storage, and a single DVI port allows direct connection to an operator display.
An internal expansion bay exposes two additional plug-in slots, each accepting cards up to 190 mm long; this makes it possible to host fieldbus masters or high-speed motion interfaces without external gateways. The serial section offers one port that follows the RS232 standard and uses a 9-pin D-Sub connector for barcode readers or service terminals. Video output conforms to the DVI-I format, enabling both analog and digital monitor support from the installed DVI interface. This arrangement supports direct attachment of local displays and serial peripherals without external interface converters. The assembled system weighs 3.1 kg, permitting rail or panel mounting without extra support hardware while keeping vibration loads on the enclosure low.
