The C6920-1029 is an industrial PC produced by Beckhoff for the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Housed in a steel enclosure, it functions as the central processor for machine sequencing, data collection, and human-machine interface tasks in automated lines. By combining real-time operating systems with integrated communication ports, the box PC replaces separate controllers and allows direct connection to field devices over Ethernet and traditional fieldbus channels.
A single 24 VDC supply enters through an 8-pole power connector and can be fused for up to 16 A, while control wiring up to 1.5 mm² fits the terminals without special adapters. Internal temperature is regulated by two cooling fans that use a double ball-bearing design to support continuous-duty operation. The enclosure carries an IP20 protection class, so it is mounted inside a cabinet where dust shielding is provided by the installation space. During transport or installation, the chassis withstands mechanical shocks of 5 G for 30 ms without component displacement, and the motherboard is anchored to maintain signal integrity under these events.
The available interfaces support network communication, peripheral attachment, serial devices, and external display output. Two independent networks are supported through two RJ-45 BASE-T Ethernet jacks, and removable media or service dongles attach to four USB 2.0 ports.
