The C6920-1025-0020 is an industrial PC manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the C6 Industrial PC Units series. This fan-cooled controller is intended for cabinet installation where deterministic control software must interact directly with fieldbus networks and local I/O. By integrating processing, storage, and communication in a compact metal housing, the unit becomes the central computing element in machine cells, production lines, and building management systems that rely on Ethernet, serial links, and digital buses for motion, logic, and data acquisition.
It accepts a supply range of 22-30 VDC, and the power connector is rated for 16 A, so wiring must match that current capacity. Two Gigabit Ethernet links are exposed through 2 x RJ-45 jacks; the primary port negotiates up to 1 Gb/s, while the second interface supports 10/100/1000BASE-T operation. For peripherals, the front panel provides 4 x USB 2.0 sockets, and an external monitor can be attached by a 1 x DVI-I connector that carries analog or digital video signals. Additional communication includes a 9-pin Sub-D fieldbus port and an RS-232 D-Sub-9 serial channel. Two internal axial fans move air across the board set to maintain component temperatures within specification.
With a protection rating of IP20, the chassis is intended for clean control enclosures. The computer operates between 0 to +55 °C ambient, and it can be stored from −25 to 65 °C without damage. Shock tolerance reaches 5 G, 30 ms, and vibration resistance is specified at 10-58 Hz: 0.035 mm; 58-500 Hz: 0.5 G for continuous service on industrial machinery. Screw terminals accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², and the dual-LAN layout allows redundant network paths in distributed control architectures.
