Product Description:
The C6920-1025 is an industrial PC unit produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Designed as a compact control platform, the device houses the processing, communication, and I/O interfaces required to run real-time automation software. In production cells, packaging lines, or building services, the computer supplies deterministic program execution, routes fieldbus traffic, and offers graphical output to monitors through its integrated DVI-I port. By combining control logic and visualization in one enclosure, the unit replaces separate PLC and workstation hardware and simplifies cabinet layouts.
For networked control, the first Ethernet interface operates at 10/100/1000BASE-T, and a second identical port supports line topology, bringing the total to 2 Ethernet ports. Local peripherals connect through 4 USB 2.0 ports, while legacy devices can still use the RS232 serial channel. The supply input is flexible; the computer starts at 22 VDC and tolerates up to 30 VDC, allowing operation on common 24 V control power rails and ride-through of minor transients. An internal UPS delivers 27 V on its output to support data backup during mains loss, and steady-state electronics consumption imposes just 0.5 A on the power source.
Installation factors include conductor size and enclosure requirements. The eight-pole DC connector is rated for 16 A and accepts wiring with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², which covers typical cabinet supply cables. The aluminum housing weighs 1.9 kg and is classified to IP20, so it must be mounted in a protected enclosure but does not require additional sealing. During transport or plant vibration, the computer withstands 5 G shocks lasting 30 ms without loss of function, and the UPS bus with its monitored power status line supports controlled backup behavior during supply interruptions.
