The C6915-0010 is a compact industrial PC produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Intended for DIN-rail mounting inside a control cabinet, the unit runs PLC logic, motion control, and visualization tasks directly on the machine, reducing cabinet space requirements and communication latency. Standard Ethernet connectivity allows it to bridge deterministic fieldbus segments with higher-level IT networks, making the computer a central node in automated production cells. Its compact format supports installation near other control components in densely arranged industrial enclosures.
Its aluminum housing measures 48 × 164 × 119 mm, so it occupies less width than a typical 24 V power supply while leaving space for cable bends. A mass of 1250 g permits installation on lightweight backplanes without additional support. The system receives power at 24 V DC through a pluggable connector rated for 8 A, which provides a secure connection for the incoming supply. Internal terminals accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², accommodating common cabinet wiring sizes. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, which prevents access to hazardous internal parts by fingers and protects against solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. Because this rating does not provide water protection, the computer is intended for installation inside a suitable control cabinet. Passive convection removes operating heat without requiring an integrated fan.
Two RJ45 interfaces driven by an Intel i210 controller sustain line speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s across cable runs of up to 100 m, supporting EtherCAT segments and uplinks to supervisory servers. Peripheral expansion is provided through downstream USB receptacles, and each port can supply 500 mA to connected devices. These ports use the USB 2.0 protocol for connecting data drives, barcode readers, touchscreens, and other compatible peripherals. A DVI connector sends digital video to an HMI panel without analog conversion, preserving image quality between the computer and display. Security functions are supported by an embedded fTPM 2.0 module, which provides firmware-based trusted platform services for cryptographic key protection. This module can support secure boot and drive encryption when those features are enabled by the operating system and system configuration.
