Beckhoff’s C6650-1006-0030 is a fanless industrial PC in the C6 Industrial PC Units series and is intended for central machine control, data logging, and real-time communication on automated production lines. The unit combines standard PC architecture with extended I/O. It can act as a deterministic controller, an operator workstation, and a gateway between field devices and supervisory networks.
The steel enclosure measures 410 x 360 x 201 mm, allowing rack or cabinet mounting without occupying excessive panel depth. Internally, an ATX motherboard operates reliably from 0 to 55 °C, which matches ambient limits often seen in control rooms. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so it must be installed inside a protected electrical cabinet when airborne dust or moisture is present. Expansion is handled by a backplane that offers 3 PCI, 2 PCIe x1, 1 PCIe x4, and 1 PCIe x16 slots, and cards up to 210 mm long can be installed for motion, vision, or specialty fieldbus interfaces. For operator peripherals and data collection devices, the system exposes 14 USB ports in total, with four accessible on the front panel and the remainder on the motherboard rear I/O shield.
