The C6525-1018-0050 is an industrial PC produced by Beckhoff for the C6 Industrial PC Units series. The unit combines CPU resources, fieldbus interfaces, and solid-state storage in a compact enclosure that mounts directly inside electrical cabinets. Within an automation cell, it supplies deterministic control cycles, handles visualization, and bridges plant networks to enterprise software, allowing machinery, conveyors, and test stands to be coordinated from a single embedded platform. Its cabinet-mounted design keeps computing hardware close to drives, I/O, and network connections, which helps centralize control functions inside the machine enclosure.
Power is drawn from a sealed DC bus, and the system accepts 24 VDC, removing the need for an internal AC supply and allowing it to share the low-voltage rail that already feeds sensors and actuators. Two Ethernet controllers negotiate at 100/1000BASE-T, so high-speed fieldbus protocols such as EtherCAT can coexist with standard TCP/IP traffic. Environmental separation is handled by a dual-layer enclosure: external faces are rated IP65 to block dust and washdown jets, while circuitry behind the front panel remains in an IP20 zone for heat dissipation and service access. The fanless, passive cooling layout is supported by a short thermal path because chassis depth is only 82 mm, letting the computer fit shallow control cabinets. Communication options also include two RJ45 ports, one RS-232 serial channel, four USB 2.0 receptacles, and a DVI video output for operator terminals.
The housing is 330 mm wide and 275 mm high, providing panel space for expansion modules while still clearing narrow cabinet doors. Even with the aluminum frame, it weighs only 4.74 kg, which reduces the load on mounting hardware. Continuous operation at ambient humidity up to 95% non-condensing supports use in humid production zones. The unit can be used as a cabinet-mounted control computer for motion sequences, data acquisition, and real-time analytics.
